Which earlier changes still matter?

Three from 2025, each still in force, and each still part of what an agent decides before joining.

Changes before 2026 that are still in force, from Real's help center and its filings.
DateWhat changed
October 2025Real began operating in Saskatchewan, its fifth Canadian province. Source: Real's results release for the third quarter of 2025.
29 August 2025Real added two new ways to open revenue share tiers 3 to 5, one by the size of a sponsor's whole network and one by the sponsor's own production. Before, only the count of producing agents a sponsor brought in opened tiers. Source: Real's article on opening tiers, August 2025, and its version archived in June 2025.
14 August 2025Co-sponsors named from this date split the sponsor's share 50% each, where earlier co-sponsors split it 45% each with 10% to Real, and an agent whose only sponsor leaves Real from this date can name a new co-sponsor 30 days later. Source: Real's articles on co-sponsored revenue share, August 2025, and on a sponsor who leaves, June 2026.

What about Real Originate?

Real dates no change to the program's terms in 2026. Its article on Real Originate, rewritten in April 2026, keeps the conditions of its 2025 version: an agent in the program is a part-time W2 employee of One Real Mortgage, licensed as a loan originator through the NMLS and paired with an internal loan officer. What Real's releases do date is the program's size and One Real Mortgage's new chief executive, both in the table above.

Questions & answers

What else do agents in the US and Canada ask?

When did Real change its co-sponsor rules?

On 14 August 2025. Co-sponsors named from that date split the sponsor's share of Real's split 50% each, where co-sponsors named earlier split it 45% each with 10% to Real. The same date opened a way back for an agent whose only sponsor leaves: 30 days after the sponsor leaves, the agent can name a new co-sponsor.

An agent with two co-sponsors cannot name a new one if either leaves, and an agent whose sponsor left before 14 August 2025 cannot name a new co-sponsor at all. The other cases Real's rules cover, from a sponsor who comes back to an agent who rejoins, are set out on the page about who should be your sponsor at Real.

When did Real add new ways to open revenue share tiers?

In August 2025. Real's article on opening tiers, edited on 29 August 2025, marks two paths as new: one by the size of a sponsor's whole network, and one by the sponsor's own production, which opens tiers up to the third at the full cap and up to the fifth at Elite status. The version archived in June 2025 opens tiers only by the count of producing agents a sponsor brought in.

That count still works as it did: five producing Tier 1 agents open Tier 2, and 15, 20 and 25 open Tiers 3, 4 and 5. How the tiers open, what each pays and who gets paid are set out on the page about revenue share at Real.
